Tradizionale gara remiera sul Lago di Garda.
La Regata delle Bisse è una tradizionale gara remiera che vede la partecipazione di imbarcazioni storiche, risalenti all'epoca della Repubblica Veneta ed ha sempre suscitato una grande passione e interesse, esercitando tra le altre cose un'intensa influenza sugli usi e costumi dei comuni della Riviera, dando vita a una lunga lista di tradizioni.
Dal 1548 le regate accompagnano eventi storici molto importanti per il Lago di Garda, le bisse, evoluzioni di imbarcazioni da pesca a fondo piatto con voga alla veneta, hanno una lunghezza di 10.40 metri e sono larghe 0.65.
Le bisse hanno 4 remi lunghi 4.50 metri, costituiti da un solo pezzo cilindrico con un'estremità foggiata a pala; la voga veneta prende il nome dal modo di remare dei veneziani e dei pescatori del Lago di Garda, che vogavano in piedi e in avanti, con il volto rivolto verso prua, alla maniera dei Fenici e di molti altri uomini venuti dopo di loro.
Nel 1967, un gruppo di amatori entusiasti di Gargnano (50 km da Sirmione circa), decisero di ridare vita alle competizioni e oggi alla Regata delle Bisse aderiscono 14 comuni del Lago di Garda e d'Iseo con un totale di venti imbarcazioni.
La Regata delle Bisse è organizzata dalla Lega Bisse del Garda e si tiene ogni anno tra Giugno ed Agosto; l'imbarcazione vincitrice del campionato ottiene come trofeo la Bandiera del Lago e ai migliori rematori viene riservato l'onore di sfilare a Venezia sul Canal Grande, in occasione della Regata Storica.

The Regata delle Bisse is a traditional rowing race featuring historic boats, dating back to the time of the Venetian Republic. It has always sparked great passion and interest, exerting, among other things, an intense influence on the customs and traditions of the towns along the Riviera, giving rise to a long list of traditions.
Since 1548, the regattas have accompanied very important historical events for Lake Garda. The bisse, evolutions of flat-bottom fishing boats with Venetian rowing, are 10.40 meters long and 0.65 meters wide.
The bisse have four oars, each 4.50 meters long, made from a single cylindrical piece with one end shaped like a blade; Venetian rowing is named after the way Venetians and fishermen on Lake Garda rowed, standing and facing forward, with their faces towards the bow, in the manner of the Phoenicians and many other men who came after them.
In 1967, a group of enthusiastic amateurs from Gargnano (about 50 km from Sirmione) decided to revive the competitions, and today the Regata delle Bisse includes 14 municipalities from Lake Garda and Lake Iseo, with a total of twenty boats.
The Regata delle Bisse is organized by the Lega Bisse del Garda and takes place every year between June and August; the winning boat of the championship receives the Flag of the Lake as a trophy, and the best rowers are honored with the opportunity to parade in Venice on the Grand Canal during the Historical Regatta.

Die Regatta delle Bisse ist ein traditionelles Ruderrennen, das historische Boote aus der Zeit der Venezianischen Republik umfasst und immer große Leidenschaft und Interesse geweckt hat. Es hat unter anderem einen intensiven Einfluss auf die Bräuche und Traditionen der Gemeinden an der Riviera ausgeübt und eine lange Liste von Traditionen hervorgebracht.
Seit 1548 begleiten die Regatten sehr wichtige historische Ereignisse am Gardasee. Die Bisse, Weiterentwicklungen von flachbodigen Fischerbooten mit venezianischem Ruderstil, sind 10,40 Meter lang und 0,65 Meter breit.
Die Bisse haben 4 Ruder, die 4,50 Meter lang sind und aus einem einzigen zylindrischen Stück mit einer auf Paddel geformten Enden bestehen; der venezianische Ruderstil hat seinen Namen von der Art und Weise, wie die Venezianer und Fischer am Gardasee ruderten, stehend und nach vorne, mit dem Gesicht zur Bugspitze, in der Art der Phönizier und vieler anderer Männer, die nach ihnen kamen.
Im Jahr 1967 beschloss eine Gruppe von begeisterten Amateuren aus Gargnano (ca. 50 km von Sirmione entfernt), die Wettkämpfe wieder aufleben zu lassen, und heute nehmen an der Regatta delle Bisse 14 Gemeinden des Gardasees und des Iseosees mit insgesamt zwanzig Booten teil.
Die Regatta delle Bisse wird von der Lega Bisse del Garda organisiert und findet jedes Jahr zwischen Juni und August statt; das siegreiche Boot des Meisterschafts erhält als Trophäe die Fahne des Sees, und den besten Ruderern wird die Ehre zuteil, während der Regata Storica durch Venedig auf dem Canal Grande zu repräsentieren.
