Descrizione

La Foresta di Somadida è il più grande bosco del Cadore ed una delle più belle foreste delle Dolomiti. A fare da cornice a questo splendido ambiente naturale, situato a Palus San Marco nel comune di Auronzo di Cadore (BL), le maestose vette delle Marmarole e del Sorapis, formazioni separate dalla splendida Valle di San Vito, sopra cui si erge isolato il famoso “Corno del Doge”. La Foresta di Somadida è oggi è un’area protetta che custodisce al suo interno un patrimonio naturalistico e faunistico di grande valore; qui la natura appare ancora “selvaggia” e integra, in equilibrio con tutte le sue componenti.

AMBIENTE

Nella parte basale della Riserva (fino ad una quota di 1400 m s.l.m.) è presente un fitto bosco composto da abete rosso, abete bianco e faggio su terreno a forte umidità con frequenti ristagni d’acqua. Dal verde fondovalle s’inerpicano ripidi versanti, innevati fino a primavera inoltrata, in cui il larice sostituisce gradualmente le altre essenze, fino a sfumare nelle mughete e nelle praterie d’alta quota che si raccordano alle verticali pareti rocciose delle cime più alte.

VISITA

Ogni visitatore è un ospite e un osservatore della Natura presente nella Riserva in tutte le sue componenti, e per questo deve permettere che sia conservata e tramandata intatta, affinché sia fruibile a tutti, evitando di danneggiarla.

A questo scopo si raccomanda di ottemperare a tutte le limitazioni previste, il cui unico scopo è la salvaguardia:

  • NON ACCENDERE FUOCHI, perché è severamente vietato e pericoloso.
  • EVITARE DI USCIRE DA SENTIERI E AREE DI SOSTA per non sconvolgere l’ordine stabilito dalla Natura e perché la Riserva deve essere assolutamente preservata dai nocivi influssi antropici.

FAUNA e FLORA vanno assolutamente rispettate e lasciate al loro autonomo sviluppo (legge regionale 15 novembre 1974 n. 53) all’interno della Riserva:

  • E’ VIETATO RACCOGLIERE FIORI: essi sono la gioia della natura e tutti dovrebbero poterne godere. 
  • E’ VIETATA LA RACCOLTA DI FUNGHI 
  • E’ VIETATO INTRODURRE CANI se non tenuti a guinzaglio. 

LA PIÙ BELLA FORESTA È UNA FORESTA SILENZIOSA E PULITA pertanto:

  • NON FARE RUMORI MOLESTI per non disturbare la fauna presente e per godere dei “rumori della Natura”. Si raccomanda quindi di evitare qualsiasi atto o rumore che possa spaventare la fauna!
  • E’ VIETATO BIVACCARE E LASCIARE RIFIUTI (se non negli appositi contenitori).
  • E’ VIETATO L’ACCESSO DI AUTOMEZZI, MOTOCICLI E BICICLETTE.
  • SI CONSIGLIA L’ESCURSIONE CON BINOCOLI E MACCHINE FOTOGRAFICHE O VIDEOCAMERE.

The Somadida forest is the largest forest in Cadore and one of the most beautiful in the Dolomites. This lovely natural setting, which is situated in Palus San Marco in the municipality of Auronzo di Cadore (Belluno), is surrounded by the majestic peaks of the Marmarole and Sorapis, lying on either side of the lovely San Vito Valley which is dominated by the famous and solitary “Corno del Doge”. Today the Somadida forest is a protected area with a wealth of nature and fauna of inestimable value; here nature is still very much “wild” and at one with its surroundings.

ENVIRONMENT

In the lower area of the Nature Reserve (up to 1400 m a.s.l.) is thick woodland with Norway spruce, fir and beech trees on very damp ground where water frequently collects. Steep slopes, covered in snow until late spring, rise from the lush valley floor and the trees found lower down the mountainside gradually give way to larch and then mountain pine and high-altitude meadows until they meet the vertical rock faces of the highest peaks.

VISIT

Visitors are guests and observers of nature in the Reserve and it is their responsibility to ensure it is preserved and protected so everyone can enjoy it.

Visitors are therefore asked to respect the following rules to protect this natural environment:

DO NOT LIGHT FIRES as it is strictly forbidden and dangerous.

KEEP TO THE PATHS AND VIEWPOINTS so as not to upset the delicate balance of nature and prevent man’s presence having a negative effect on the Reserve.

FAUNA and FLORA must be respected and left to live and grow without interference in the Reserve (regional law no. 53 of 15 November 1974):

  • DO NOT PICK FLOWERS: they are the joy of nature and are there for everyone to enjoy. 
  • DO NOT PICK MUSHROOMS.
  • DOGS NOT ALLOWED unless on a leash. 

FORESTS ARE BEAUTIFUL WHEN THEY ARE SILENT AND CLEAN so:

  • DON’T MAKE ANY UNNECESSARY NOISE so you will not disturb the fauna and can enjoy the sounds of nature. Please do nothing and make no noise that could frighten the animals!
  • NO CAMPING, TAKE YOUR RUBBISH HOME WITH YOU (or place it in the bins provided).
  • NO CARS, MOTORCYCLES OR BICYCLES.
  • WE RECOMMEND YOU TAKE BINOCULARS AND A CAMERA OR VIDEOCAMERA ON YOUR EXCURSIONS.

Der Foresta di Somadida ist der größte Wald des Cadore und einer der schönsten der gesamten Dolomiten. Umrahmt wird dieses herrliche Naturgebiet, das in Palus San Marco im Gemeindegebiet von Auronzo di Cadore (Provinz Belluno) liegt, von den majestätischen Gipfeln der Marmarole und der Punta Sorapiss, Gebirgsformationen, die durch das herrliche San Vito Tal getrennt sind, über dem der berühmte „Corno del Doge“ aufragt. Der Foresta di Somadida ist heute ein Naturschutzgebiet von hohem Wert und großer Naturschönheit mit einer reichhaltigen Fauna. Hier erscheint die Natur noch „wild“ und unberührt und ganz im Einklang mit allem, was sie ausmacht.

UMGEBUNG

Im unteren Teil des Naturschutzgebietes (bis auf eine Höhe von 1400 m ü. d. M.) ist der Wald sehr dicht mit Rot- und Weißtannen und Buchen bewachsen, der Boden ist extrem feucht, und häufig tritt Staunässe auf. Aus der grünen Talsohle steigen schroffe Felshänge auf, die bis in den späten Frühling von Schnee bedeckt sind. Hier ersetzt die Lärche nach und nach die anderen Baumarten, bis sie sich in den Bergkiefernwäldern und alpinen Rasenflächen, die bis an die steil aufragenden Felswände der höchsten Gipfelregionen vorstoßen, verliert.

BESUCH

Jeder Besucher ist ein Gast und Beobachter der Natur im Naturschutzgebiet mit all ihren Komponenten. Aus diesem Grund muss er auch Sorge dafür tragen, dass sie unbeschädigt erhalten und weitergegeben wird, damit alle etwas von ihr haben. Also muss vermieden werden, dass die Natur Schaden nimmt.

Es wird darum gebeten, alle vorgesehenen Einschränkungen strikt einzuhalten, denn sie verfolgen ausschließlich das Ziel, die Natur zu schützen:

  • MACHEN SIE KEIN FEUER, denn es ist strengstens verboten und gefährlich.
  • BLEIBEN SIE AUF DEN WANDERWEGEN UND RASTPLÄTZEN, um die natürliche Ordnung nicht zu stören und weil das Naturschutzgebiet unbedingt vor negativen menschlichen Einflüssen bewahrt werden muss.

FAUNA und FLORA im Naturschutzgebiet dürfen nicht gestört werden und sind ihrer eigenen Entwicklung zu überlassen (Regionalgesetz Nr. 53 vom 15. November 1974):

  • PFLÜCKEN SIE KEINE BLUMEN: Sie sind die Freude der Natur, und alle sollten sie genießen können.
  • SAMMELN SIE KEINE PILZE
  • HUNDE SIND NUR ERLAUBT, wenn sie an der Leine geführt werden.

DER SCHÖNSTE WALD IST EIN STILLER UND SAUBERER WALD, daher:

  • MACHEN SIE KEINEN LÄRM, um die Tierwelt nicht zu stören und damit Sie die „Geräusche der Natur“ hören können. Es wird daher darum gebeten, alle Geräusche oder Handlungen zu unterlassen, die die Tiere erschrecken könnten!
  • BIWAKIEREN SIE NICHT UND HINTERLASSEN SIE KEINE ABFÄLLE (außer in den dafür vorgesehenen Abfallbehältern).
  • FAHREN SIE NICHT MIT KRAFTFAHRZEUGEN, MOTORRÄDERN UND FAHRRÄDERN IN DAS SCHUTZGEBIET.
  • ES EMPFIEHLT SICH, FERNGLÄSER UND FOTO- ODER VIDEOKAMERAS AUF DEN AUSFLUG MITZUNEHMEN.
