Ritorna, dopo trepidante attesa, la nuova stagione teatrale di Asiago 2025-2026 “Asiago, il teatro è di casa!” al Teatro Millepini: 8 appuntamenti tra musica, comicità, riflessioni e tanto altro.

Anfitrione è una delle commedie più celebri di Plauto.
La trama ruota attorno a un soldato di nome Anfitrione e al suo servo Sosia, che tornano a casa dopo una lunga campagna militare. Tuttavia Giove, affascinato dalla bella moglie di Anfitrione, Alcmena, decide di assumerne l’aspetto per conquistarla. Nel frattempo il vero Anfitrione ignaro, si scontra con Sosia e si sviluppano una serie di equivoci, situazioni buffe e colpi di scena. Inganni che creano una girandola di situazioni esilaranti in cui i personaggi si confondono sulla vera identità di chi hanno di fronte offrendo al pubblico uno spettacolo spassoso e leggero. Un’opera incredibilmente divertente ma anche una fonte preziosa e importante per il suo valore storico linguistico che può essere usata come lente attraverso cui analizzare e commentare la contemporaneità.
Insomma, un Plauto modernissimo: quante volte pensiamo di aver di fronte qualcuno ed invece abbiamo di fronte qualcun altro sbagliando le nostre valutazioni? O viceversa: quanto spesso non siamo all’altezza dei ruoli che gli altri ci danno?
Questo ormai accade tanto nella vita vera, quella di tutti i giorni, quanto (se non soprattutto) in quella digitale, quella dei social.

Amphitryon is one of Plautus's most famous comedies.
The plot revolves around a soldier named Amphitryon and his servant Sosia, who return home after a long military campaign. However, Jupiter, captivated by Amphitryon’s beautiful wife Alcmena, decides to take on his appearance to win her over. Meanwhile, the real Amphitryon, unaware, encounters Sosia, leading to a series of misunderstandings, funny situations, and plot twists. Deceptions create a whirlwind of hilarious situations where characters confuse the true identity of those they face, offering the audience a fun and light-hearted show. An incredibly entertaining work, but also a valuable and important source for its linguistic historical significance that can be used as a lens through which to analyze and comment on contemporary life.
In short, a very modern Plautus: how often do we think we are facing someone and instead find ourselves in front of someone else, misjudging our evaluations? Or vice versa: how often are we not up to the roles that others assign us?
This now happens as much in real life, that of everyday life, as (if not especially) in the digital realm, that of social media.

Amfitrione ist eine der bekanntesten Komödien von Plautus.
Die Handlung dreht sich um einen Soldaten namens Amfitrione und seinen Diener Sosia, die nach einem langen Militärfeldzug nach Hause zurückkehren. Doch Jupiter, fasziniert von der schönen Frau von Amfitrione, Alcmena, beschließt, sein Aussehen anzunehmen, um sie zu erobern. In der Zwischenzeit kommt der echte Amfitrione unwissentlich mit Sosia in Konflikt, und es entwickeln sich eine Reihe von Missverständnissen, witzigen Situationen und überraschenden Wendungen. Täuschungen, die eine Drehbühne von amüsanten Situationen schaffen, in denen die Charaktere über die wahre Identität des Gegenübers durcheinandergeraten und dem Publikum eine unterhaltsame und leichte Show bieten. Ein unglaublich lustiges Werk, aber auch eine wertvolle und wichtige Quelle für seinen historischen sprachlichen Wert, das als Linse genutzt werden kann, um die Gegenwart zu analysieren und zu kommentieren.
Kurz gesagt, ein hochmoderner Plautus: wie oft denken wir, jemandem gegenüberzustehen, und doch steht uns jemand anderes gegenüber und wir machen falsche Bewertungen? Oder umgekehrt: wie oft entsprechen wir nicht den Rollen, die andere uns geben?
Das passiert inzwischen sowohl im echten Leben, im Alltag, als auch (wenn nicht vor allem) im digitalen Leben, in den sozialen Medien.
