Il “Campiello” è un premio letterario, istituito nel 1962 per volontà degli Industriali del Veneto, che viene assegnato a opere di narrativa italiana. Il Premio nella sua storia ha provato la validità delle sue scelte culturali segnalando all’attenzione del grande pubblico numerosi autori e romanzi che hanno segnato la storia della letteratura italiana. Il Campiello, ha visto il successo delle opere in concorso confermato sia dalle vendite ma anche dalla trasposizione cinematografica di alcuni di esse. Oggi il Premio, ritenuto uno tra i più prestigiosi d'Italia e tra i più importanti nel panorama editoriale italiano, è un canale con il quale gli Industriali Veneti intendono offrire il loro contributo alla promozione della narrativa italiana e a incentivare e diffondere il piacere per la lettura nella consapevolezza che un premio trovi la sua massima ragion d'essere nel "creare nuovi lettori". Si è dimostrata efficace l’idea iniziale e mai mutata del meccanismo ideato per giungere al vincitore: le giurie, una tecnica ed una popolare.
Durante l'incontro saranno presenti i 5 finalisti del premio:

- “L’immensa distrazione” di Marcello Fois – Einaudi Editore
- “La ragazzina” di Valeria Parrella – Feltrinelli Editore
- "Lo sbilico" di Alcide Pierantozzi - Einaudi
- “La vita sempre” di Elena Varvello – Guanda Editore

The “Campiello” is a literary award, established in 1962 at the initiative of the Industrialists of Veneto, which is awarded for works of Italian fiction. Throughout its history, the Prize has proven the validity of its cultural choices by bringing to the attention of the general public numerous authors and novels that have marked the history of Italian literature. The Campiello has seen the success of the competing works confirmed both by sales and by the cinematic adaptations of some of them. Today, the Prize, considered one of the most prestigious in Italy and among the most important in the Italian publishing landscape, is a channel through which the Venetian Industrialists intend to offer their contribution to the promotion of Italian fiction and to encourage and spread the pleasure of reading in the awareness that an award finds its utmost reason for being in "creating new readers." The initial and unchanging idea of the mechanism designed to reach the winner has proven effective: the juries, both a technical one and a popular one.
During the meeting, the 5 finalists of the award will be present:

- “The Immense Distraction” by Marcello Fois – Einaudi Editore
- “The Young Girl” by Valeria Parrella – Feltrinelli Editore
- “The Unbalanced” by Alcide Pierantozzi – Einaudi
- “Life Always” by Elena Varvello – Guanda Editore
In case of bad weather, the meeting will be held at the Teatro Millepini.

Der “Campiello” ist ein Literaturpreis, der 1962 auf Initiative der Industrie des Veneto ins Leben gerufen wurde und der italienischen Erzählungen verliehen wird. Der Preis hat in seiner Geschichte die Validität seiner kulturellen Entscheidungen unter Beweis gestellt, indem er der breiten Öffentlichkeit zahlreiche Autoren und Romane präsentiert hat, die die Geschichte der italienischen Literatur geprägt haben. Der Campiello hat den Erfolg der eingereichten Werke sowohl durch Verkaufszahlen als auch durch die filmische Umsetzung einiger davon bestätigt. Heute gilt der Preis als einer der prestigeträchtigsten in Italien und als einer der wichtigsten im italienischen Verlagswesen. Er ist ein Kanal, durch den die Industrie des Veneto ihren Beitrag zur Förderung der italienischen Erzählkunst leisten und das Vergnügen am Lesen anregen und verbreiten möchte, in dem Bewusstsein, dass ein Preis seinen höchsten Sinn darin findet, „neue Leser zu schaffen“. Die ursprüngliche und unveränderte Idee des Mechanismus, um zum Sieger zu gelangen, hat sich als wirksam erwiesen: die Jurys, eine technische und eine populäre.

- “Das Leben immer” von Elena Varvello – Guanda Editore
Bei schlechtem Wetter findet das Treffen im Teatro Millepini statt.
