Orietta Lanzarin, Professore Associato di Storia dell’architettura DIUM, Università di Udine Il Memoriale Brion è un racconto che racchiude in sé tutta la complessità del pensiero di Carlo Scarpa e il segreto per esplorarlo. Gli episodi che costituiscono l’opera partecipano attivamente all’esposizione di una storia densa di significati. Ma quale? Certamente quella dei coniugi Brion, che “hanno faticato tutta la loro vita” e riposano qui, nei “due sarcofagi…nella parte più solatia”, come fulcro vitale di un luogo che celebra il “senso della campagna”. Scarpa, però, affida alla Tomba Brion anche un importante compito didattico: quello di spiegare, a chiunque la visiti, quale è stato il suo metodo di lavoro e gli strumenti espressivi - le materie, la luce, il colore, l’acqua – delle sue ineguagliabili narrazioni

Orietta Lanzarini, Associate Professor of History of Architecture DIUM, University of Udine The Brion Memorial is a narrative that encapsulates the entire complexity of Carlo Scarpa’s thought and the secret to exploring it. The episodes that constitute the work actively participate in the exposition of a story rich in meanings. But which one? Certainly that of the Brion couple, who “struggled all their lives” and rest here, in the “two sarcophagi…in the sunniest part,” as a vital center of a place that celebrates the “sense of the countryside.” However, Scarpa also entrusts the Brion Tomb with an important educational task: to explain, to anyone who visits it, what his method of work was and the expressive tools - materials, light, color, water – of his unparalleled narratives

Natur und Architektur im Memorial Die Bepflanzung im Memorial ist das Ergebnis komplexer und leidenschaftlicher Planungen. Es ist ein grünes Alphabet, das es zu erkunden gilt, bestehend aus Volumen und grafischen Zeichen, die poetisch in die Architektur von Carlo Scarpa integriert sind.

Samstag, 17. Oktober, 11.00 Uhr Geführte Tour mit Orietta Lanzarini
Orietta Lanzarini, außerordentliche Professorin für Geschichte der Architektur DIUM, Universität Udine Das Brion Memorial ist eine Erzählung, die die ganze Komplexität des Denkens von Carlo Scarpa in sich birgt und das Geheimnis, wie es zu erkunden ist. Die Episoden, die das Werk ausmachen, tragen aktiv zur Ausstellung einer bedeutungsvollen Geschichte bei. Aber welche? Sicherlich die der Eheleute Brion, die "ihr ganzes Leben gearbeitet haben" und hier ruhen, in den "zwei Sarkophagen... an dem sonnigsten Ort", als lebenswichtiger Mittelpunkt eines Ortes, der den "Sinn der Landschaft" feiert. Scarpa hingegen überträgt der Brion-Grabstätte auch eine wichtige pädagogische Aufgabe: Die Erklärung, für jeden, der sie besucht, welches seine Arbeitsmethoden und ausdrücklichen Werkzeuge - die Materialien, das Licht, die Farbe, das Wasser – seiner unvergleichlichen Erzählungen waren.

Sonntag, 25. Oktober, 11.00 Uhr Glas, Holz, Variationen des glänzenden Putzes, aber auch Wasser und Licht… Die Materialien und Elemente, mit denen das Brion Memorial gebaut wurde, erzählen in mehreren Stimmen die tiefe Verbindung von Carlo Scarpa mit seiner Stadt, Venedig.
