Torna al teatro Marconi la rassegna "Sipari d’autunno", giunta alla 9° edizione: dal 2 ottobre al 13 novembre, quattro venerdì di pura comicità.
Venerdì 30 ottobre andrà in scena “La strana storia del Dottor Jekyll & Mr. Hyde” di Benoit Roland e Roberto Zamengo da R.L. Stevenson con la Compagnia Teatroimmagine.
Da un’intervista del regista Benoit Roland: “Perché il «Dottor Jekyll & Mr. Hyde»?” lui risponde: “
Quando ho riletto Lo strano caso del Dottor Jekyll e Mr. Hyde, scritto nell’800 dallo scrittore inglese R.L. Stevenson, mi sono fatto avvolgere dall’atmosfera londinese, a tal punto di sentirne gli odori delle strade e del Tamigi, i rumori dei passi e dell’acqua, le luci dei lampioni e delle case di notte, il tutto ovattato dalla nebbia. Subito mi son venuti alla mente immagini di Venezia, i rumori dei passi nelle calli buie, l’acqua dei canali, la sirena dell’acqua alta, il torpore delle luci dei palazzi e dei campielli. La nebbia londinese somiglia stranamente al “caigo” veneziano, a tal punto che le due città si possono fondere e confondere l’una con l’altra. E da qui è partita la mia rivisitazione di questo romanzo. Dalla bruma londinese escono il Dottor Jekyll e Mr Hyde e dal “caigo” veneziano sono usciti il Dottor Jacopo e Miss Heydi, Ottone e Tellurio, ma anche Teodolinda e Lucilla, Pantalone e Fontego.
A differenza di R.L. Stevenson, per lo spettacolo non ho voluto lavorare sul lato “cupo e malvagio” del protagonista, ma sul contrario del carattere del personaggio, sull’antinomia, sull’opposto.
Abbiamo affrontato le prove con l’intento di dare un senso a quest’ambivalenza dataci dal romanzo originale, utilizzando la chiave di lettura e di gioco della Commedia dell’Arte. Grazie a quattro brillanti attori, che prendono di petto questo tema interpretando, quasi in modo schizofrenico, il loro personaggio e il suo contrario, abbiamo fatto nostra questa storia. Ancora una volta il testo diventa solo un pre-testo per immaginare nuove situazioni, per parlare di temi attuali, per giocare e per divertirci con il pubblico e con la maschera, ovvero con le nostre personali “pozioni”, che ci permettono per il tempo dello spettacolo di diventare qualcun altro.”

The theater Marconi hosts the review "Autumn Curtains", now in its 9th edition: from October 2 to November 13, four Fridays of pure comedy.
On Friday, October 30, “The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde” by Benoit Roland and Roberto Zamengo from R.L. Stevenson will be performed with the Teatroimmagine Company.
From an interview with the director Benoit Roland: “Why the ‘Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde’?” he replies: “
When I reread The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, written in the 1800s by the English writer R.L. Stevenson, I was enveloped by the London atmosphere, to the point of smelling the scents of the streets and the Thames, the sounds of footsteps and water, the lights of the streetlamps and the houses at night, all muffled by the fog. Immediately, images of Venice came to mind, the sounds of footsteps in the dark alleys, the water of the canals, the siren of high water, the drowsiness of the lights of the buildings and the small squares. The London fog strangely resembles the Venetian "caigo", to the point where the two cities can merge and confuse with one another. This is where my reinterpretation of this novel began. From the London mist emerge Dr. Jekyll and Mr Hyde, and from the Venetian “caigo” come Dr. Jacopo and Miss Heydi, Ottone and Tellurio, but also Teodolinda and Lucilla, Pantalone and Fontego.
Unlike R.L. Stevenson, for the show, I did not want to work on the “dark and evil” side of the protagonist, but on the contrary of the character, on the antinomy, on the opposite.
We approached rehearsals with the intention of making sense of this ambivalence given to us by the original novel, using the key of reading and playing from Commedia dell’Arte. Thanks to four brilliant actors, who tackle this theme by interpreting, almost in a schizophrenic way, their character and its opposite, we have made this story our own. Once again, the text becomes just a pretext to imagine new situations, to talk about current issues, to play, and to entertain the audience and the mask, in other words, with our personal “potions”, which allow us during the performance to become someone else.”

Am Freitag, den 30. Oktober, wird “Die seltsame Geschichte von Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde” von Benoit Roland und Roberto Zamengo nach R.L. Stevenson mit der Compagnia Teatroimmagine aufgeführt.
Aus einem Interview mit dem Regisseur Benoit Roland: “Warum das «Dottor Jekyll & Mr. Hyde»?” antwortet er: “
Als ich das Buch 'Der seltsame Fall des Dr. Jekyll und Mr. Hyde', das im 19. Jahrhundert von dem englischen Schriftsteller R.L. Stevenson geschrieben wurde, erneut gelesen habe, wurde ich von der Londoner Atmosphäre überwältigt, sodass ich die Gerüche der Straßen und der Themse, die Geräusche der Schritte und des Wassers, die Lichter der Laternen und der Häuser bei Nacht im Nebel spüren konnte. Sofort kamen mir Bilder von Venedig in den Sinn, die Geräusche der Schritte in dunklen Gassen, das Wasser der Kanäle, die Sirene des Hochwassers, der Schlummer des Lichts der Paläste und der Plätze. Der Londoner Nebel ähnelt merkwürdig dem venezianischen „caigo“, sodass die beiden Städte sich ineinander verschmelzen und verwechseln können. Und von hier aus begann meine Neuinterpretation dieses Romans. Aus dem Londoner Nebel treten Dr. Jekyll und Mr. Hyde hervor und aus dem venezianischen “caigo” kamen Dr. Jacopo und Miss Heydi, Ottone und Tellurio, aber auch Teodolinda und Lucilla, Pantalone und Fontego.
Im Gegensatz zu R.L. Stevenson wollte ich für die Aufführung nicht auf die „finstere und böse“ Seite des Protagonisten eingehen, sondern auf das Gegenteil des Charakters, auf die Antinomie, auf das Gegenteil.
Wir haben die Proben mit der Absicht durchgeführt, dieser Ambivalenz, die uns der ursprüngliche Roman gibt, Sinn zu geben, indem wir die Lesart und das Spiel der Commedia dell’Arte verwendet haben. Dank vier brillanter Schauspieler, die dieses Thema leidenschaftlich aufnehmen, indem sie fast schizophren ihr Charakter und sein Gegenteil darstellen, haben wir diese Geschichte zu eigen gemacht. Einmal mehr wird der Text nur zu einer Vorwand, um neue Situationen zu imaginieren, um über aktuelle Themen zu sprechen, um mit dem Publikum und den Masken zu spielen und uns mit unseren persönlichen “Zaubertränken” zu amüsieren, die uns während der Vorstellung erlauben, jemand anders zu werden.”
