Attraverso la potente interpretazione di Mirko Artuso, la prova aperta per lo spettacolo “Il Cane Dean” non è una semplice biografia, ma un’immersione profonda nell’universo di uno dei più grandi scrittori italiani contemporanei. Il pubblico verrà guidato nel labirinto di una vita fatta di contrasti: la fatica e la manualità di lavori umili e spesso disprezzati, la ricerca spasmodica di senso e bellezza nella scrittura e la continua lotta con sé stesso.
Al centro di tutto, la figura di un compagno a quattro zampe che, come un faro nella nebbia, ha illuminato la strada di Vitaliano. Through the powerful interpretation of Mirko Artuso, the open rehearsal for the show “Il Cane Dean” is not a simple biography, but a deep immersion into the universe of one of the greatest contemporary Italian writers. The audience will be guided through the labyrinth of a life made of contrasts: the toil and manual labor of humble and often despised jobs, the frantic search for meaning and beauty in writing, and the ongoing struggle with oneself.
At the center of it all, the figure of a four-legged companion who, like a beacon in the fog, has illuminated Vitaliano's path. Dean is not just an animal, but his lifeline, the thread that ties him to the world, the silent witness of his joys and torments. The dog becomes the key to revealing the man behind the writer, a man who sought freedom and truth in every page he wrote and in every step he took.
For this special open rehearsal to the public, Mirko Artuso will be accompanied by the drums and percussion of Alessandro Barbieri, who will enrich the narration with his sonic presence.
