Torna la rassegna cinematografica sul tema dei diritti, impegno civile e partecipazione nel giardino del Museo Villa Bassi Rathgeb.
“Le città di pianura”, un film diretto da Francesco Sossai, che racconta un pezzo di Italia: la provincia del Nord Est, le zone tra bar, strade, paesi, industrie, vuoti, amicizie consumate e sogni lasciati in sospeso. Carlobianchi e Doriano, due spiantati cinquantenni, hanno un’ossessione: andare a bere l’ultimo bicchiere. Una notte, vagando in macchina da un bar all’altro, si imbattono per caso in Giulio, un timido studente di architettura: l’incontro con questi due improbabili mentori trasformerà profondamente Giulio nel suo modo di vedere il mondo e l’amore e di immaginare il futuro.
Un road movie nella sterminata pianura veneta che viaggia alla velocità con cui si smaltisce una sbronza.

“The Plain Cities,” a film directed by Francesco Sossai, tells a piece of Italy: the province of the North East, the areas between bars, roads, towns, industries, emptiness, consumed friendships, and dreams left in suspension. Carlobianchi and Doriano, two broke fifty-somethings, have an obsession: to go for one last drink. One night, wandering in the car from one bar to another, they accidentally stumble upon Giulio, a shy architecture student: the encounter with these two unlikely mentors will deeply transform Giulio in his way of seeing the world and love and imagining the future.
A road movie in the vast Venetian plain that travels at the speed with which a hangover fades away.

Carlobianchi und Doriano, zwei mittellose Fünfziger, haben eine Besessenheit: das letzte Glas trinken gehen. Eines Nachts, während sie mit dem Auto von Bar zu Bar fahren, stoßen sie zufällig auf Giulio, einen schüchternen Architekturstudenten: die Begegnung mit diesen beiden unwahrscheinlichen Mentoren wird Giulios Sicht auf die Welt und die Liebe sowie seine Vorstellung von der Zukunft grundlegend verändern.
