Nell’ambito della rassegna “contaminazioni musicali”, l’Estate Teatrale Veronese torna a riempire il Teatro Romano con un atteso ritorno: Johnny Marr, chitarrista e autore britannico, figura iconica della musica indipendente e co-fondatore degli indimenticabili The Smiths, si esibirà sul palco scaligero giovedì 16 luglio.
Johnny Marr ha scritto alcune delle pagine più importanti della storia della musica alternativa; il suo percorso creativo lo ha visto al centro di progetti fondamentali come The The, Electronic, Modest Mouse e The Cribs, oltre a collaborazioni con artisti del calibro di Pretenders, Talking Heads, The Avalanches e con il compositore Hans Zimmer, con cui ha lavorato alla colonna sonora dell’ultimo film di James Bond, No Time To Die, firmando insieme a Billie Eilish la title track candidata all’Oscar.
Il ritorno live arriva in un momento particolarmente felice della sua carriera, dopo che Marr ha celebrato dieci anni di attività solista attraverso una raccolta curata personalmente che ripercorre i momenti più significativi del suo percorso da frontman.
Un lavoro che restituisce il ritratto di un artista in continua evoluzione, capace di rinnovarsi senza mai perdere una forte identità melodica ed emotiva.
As part of the "musical contaminations" festival, the Estate Teatrale Veronese returns to fill the Teatro Romano with a long-awaited return: Johnny Marr, British guitarist and songwriter, an iconic figure in independent music and co-founder of the unforgettable The Smiths, will perform on the Scaliger stage on thursday, july 16.
Johnny Marr has written some of the most important pages in the history of alternative music; his creative journey has seen him at the center of fundamental projects like The The, Electronic, Modest Mouse, and The Cribs, along with collaborations with artists such as Pretenders, Talking Heads, The Avalanches, and composer Hans Zimmer, with whom he worked on the soundtrack for the latest James Bond film, No Time To Die, co-signing the Oscar-nominated title track with Billie Eilish.
The live return comes at a particularly happy moment in his career, after Marr celebrated ten years of solo activity through a personally curated collection that retraces the most significant moments of his journey as a frontman.
A work that presents the portrait of an artist in continuous evolution, capable of renewing himself without ever losing a strong melodic and emotional identity.
Im Rahmen der Reihe „Musikalische Kontaminationen“ kehrt das Teatro Romano mit einem mit Spannung erwarteten Auftritt zurück: Johnny Marr, britischer Gitarrist und Autor, ikonische Figur der alternativen Musik und Mitbegründer der unvergesslichen The Smiths, wird am Donnerstag, 16. Juli auf der Bühne in Verona auftreten.
Johnny Marr hat einige der bedeutendsten Seiten in der Geschichte der alternativen Musik geschrieben; sein kreativer Weg führte ihn in das Zentrum wichtiger Projekte wie The The, Electronic, Modest Mouse und The Cribs, sowie zu Kooperationen mit Künstlern wie Pretenders, Talking Heads, The Avalanches und dem Komponisten Hans Zimmer, mit dem er an dem Soundtrack des letzten James-Bond-Films, No Time To Die, gearbeitet hat, wobei er zusammen mit Billie Eilish den für den Oscar nominierten Titelsong schrieb.
