Nella 104° edizione dell'Arena di Verona Opera Festival ritorna in scena l'Aida, nell'allestimento rivoluzionario "di cristallo", creato e curato per la regia, le scene ed i costumi dall'artista poliedrico Stefano Poda.
Il capolavoro di Giuseppe Verdi sulla principessa d'Etiopia schiava in Egitto, con trasparenze, inediti giochi di luce e ricca simbologia sospesa fra Antico Egitto e arte contemporanea, va in scena per 6 recite, dal 19 giugno al 24 luglio 2026. Una messa in scena poliedrica e moderna, in grado a parlare a tutti, in equilibrio fra l’iconografia egizia classica e le innovazioni stilistiche di Paco Rabanne, Roberto Capucci e Damien Hirst.
Composta nel 1869 in occasione dell'inaugurazione del Canale di Suez, Aida di Giuseppe Verdi narra le vicende amorose della giovane Aida, figlia del re d'Etiopia ma resa schiava al seguito di Amneris, figlia del faraone d'Egitto. Innamorata (e ricambiata) del valoroso Radamès, promesso sposo ad Amneris, Aida lo seguirà fino alla morte tragica, dimostrandogli amore e fedeltà.

In the 104th edition of the Verona Arena Opera Festival, Aida returns to the stage in the revolutionary "crystal" production, created and curated for direction, sets, and costumes by the multifaceted artist Stefano Poda.
Giuseppe Verdi's masterpiece about the Ethiopian princess enslaved in Egypt, featuring transparency, unique plays of light, and rich symbolism suspended between Ancient Egypt and contemporary art, will be performed for 6 shows, from June 19 to July 24, 2026. A multifaceted and modern staging, capable of speaking to everyone, balancing classic Egyptian iconography with the stylistic innovations of Paco Rabanne, Roberto Capucci, and Damien Hirst.
Composed in 1869 for the inauguration of the Suez Canal, Aida by Giuseppe Verdi tells the love story of the young Aida, daughter of the king of Ethiopia but made a slave in the service of Amneris, daughter of the Pharaoh of Egypt. In love (and reciprocated) with the valiant Radamès, betrothed to Amneris, Aida will follow him to his tragic death, showing him love and fidelity.

Im 104. Jahrgang des Arena di Verona Opera Festivals kehrt Aida in der revolutionären "Kristall"-Inszenierung zurück, die vom vielseitigen Künstler Stefano Poda für Regie, Bühnenbild und Kostüme geschaffen und gestaltet wurde.
Das Meisterwerk von Giuseppe Verdi über die äthiopische Prinzessin, die als Sklavin in Ägypten lebt, mit Transparenzen, neuartigen Lichtspielen und reicher Symbolik, die zwischen dem Alten Ägypten und zeitgenössischer Kunst schwebt, wird in 6 Aufführungen vom 19. Juni bis 24. Juli 2026 aufgeführt. Eine vielseitige und moderne Inszenierung, die allen spricht, im Gleichgewicht zwischen klassischer ägyptischer Ikonographie und stilistischen Innovationen von Paco Rabanne, Roberto Capucci und Damien Hirst.
1869 anlässlich der Eröffnung des Suezkanals komponiert, erzählt Aida von Giuseppe Verdi die Liebesgeschichte der jungen Aida, Tochter des Königs von Äthiopien, die jedoch als Sklavin Amneris, der Tochter des Pharaos von Ägypten, dient. Verliebt (und ebenfalls geliebt) in den tapferen Radamès, der Amneris versprochen ist, wird Aida ihn bis zu seinem tragischen Tod begleiten und ihm Liebe und Treue beweisen.
