Temi apparentemente lontani – guerre, acque, identità – s’intrecciano quest’anno a Scene di paglia. Emergono da un presente deflagrato, si confondono scorrendo dai fiumi più vicini – quelli che stiamo raccontando per l’Atlante delle rive – alle emergenze planetarie che non possiamo far finta di non vedere, dalle maschere che indossiamo ogni giorno e che ci chiudono nella nostra piccola vita fino al sentimento oceanico che d’improvviso ci apre e ci fa sentire di appartenere a qualcosa di più grande di noi.
L’acqua diventa specchio delle fratture del mondo, gli orrori dei conflitti intorno a noi risuonano nelle tragedie antiche, nelle storie e nei corpi in scena si riflettono identità in movimento. Così il teatro diventa, ancora una volta, spazio di incontro, di riflessione, di condivisione. E gli specchi liquidi che ci pone davanti interrogano la nostra responsabilità personale e collettiva: custodire la vita, riconoscere l’altro, immaginare nuovi equilibri. Dentro di noi, tra di noi.

Seemingly distant themes – wars, waters, identities – intertwine this year at Scenes of Straw. They emerge from a shattered present, blending as they flow from the nearest rivers – those we are narrating for the Atlas of the Banks – to the planetary emergencies we cannot pretend to ignore, from the masks we wear every day that confine us to our small lives to the oceanic feeling that suddenly opens us up and makes us feel we belong to something greater than ourselves.
Water becomes a mirror of the world's fractures, the horrors of the conflicts around us resonate in ancient tragedies, and in the stories and bodies on stage, moving identities are reflected. Thus, theater once again becomes a space for meeting, reflection, and sharing. And the liquid mirrors it presents to us question our personal and collective responsibility: to safeguard life, recognize the other, and imagine new balances. Within us, among us.

Offensichtlich entfernte Themen – Kriege, Wasser, Identität – verweben sich in diesem Jahr in Szenen aus Stroh. Sie entstehen aus einer gesprengten Gegenwart, vermischen sich und fließen von den nächstgelegenen Flüssen – denen wir für den Atlas der Ufer erzählen – zu den planetaren Notfällen, die wir nicht ignorieren können, von den Masken, die wir jeden Tag tragen und die uns in unser kleines Leben einsperren, bis zu dem ozeanischen Gefühl, das uns plötzlich öffnet und uns spüren lässt, dass wir zu etwas Größerem als uns selbst gehören.
Das Wasser wird zum Spiegel der Brüche der Welt, die Schrecken der Konflikte um uns herum hallen in den antiken Tragödien wider, in den Geschichten und Körpern auf der Bühne spiegeln sich Identitäten in Bewegung. So wird das Theater, einmal mehr, zum Raum der Begegnung, der Reflexion, des Teilens. Und die flüssigen Spiegel, die uns gegenübergestellt werden, hinterfragen unsere persönliche und kollektive Verantwortung: das Leben bewahren, den anderen anerkennen, neue Gleichgewichte vorstellen. In uns, unter uns.
