Se hai voglia di fare un viaggio nel tempo, il Palio de La Marciliana è l’evento che fa per te. Questa suggestiva rievocazione storica di Chioggia richiama le vicende della guerra tra Veneziani e Genovesi e celebra il ricco passato medievale della città.
Tra il XIII e il XIV secolo Chioggia era uno dei principali centri commerciali dell’Adriatico grazie al commercio del sale.
Durante le due Fiere Franche dedicate alla Madonna, organizzate ad agosto e settembre in coincidenza con il periodo di massima produzione delle saline, la città si riempiva di mercanti, marinai e viaggiatori provenienti da ogni parte per acquistare il prezioso sale chioggiotto.
Fu proprio questa prospera realtà che i Genovesi conquistarono nell’agosto del 1379, durante la Fiera dell’Assunzione, trovando magazzini colmi di sale, navi cariche di mercanzie e ricchezze di grande valore.
Oggi il Palio de La Marciliana riporta in vita quell’epoca Balestrieri, armigeri, tamburini e centinaia di figuranti in abiti medievali animano le vie cittadine.

Between the 13th and 14th centuries, Chioggia was one of the main commercial centers of the Adriatic thanks to the salt trade.
During the two Fiera Franche dedicated to the Madonna, organized in August and September coinciding with the peak production period of the salt pans, the city was filled with merchants, sailors, and travelers from all over to purchase the precious Chioggian salt.
It was this prosperous reality that the Genoese conquered in August 1379, during the Assumption Fair, discovering warehouses full of salt, ships loaded with goods, and treasures of great value.
Today, the Palio de La Marciliana brings that era back to life with crossbowmen, armored soldiers, drummers, and hundreds of performers in medieval costumes animating the streets of the city.

Es war genau diese wohlhabende Realität, die die Genuesen im August 1379 während der Fiera dell'Assunzione eroberten und dabei Lagerhäuser voller Salz, mit Waren beladene Schiffe und Reichtümer von großem Wert fanden.
Heute erweckt das Palio de La Marciliana diese Epoche zum Leben: Armbrustschützen, Soldaten, Trommler und Hunderte von Darstellern in mittelalterlicher Kleidung beleben die Straßen der Stadt.
