In occasione della dodicesima edizione del Castelfranco Veneto Jazz Festival, il Teatro Accademico di Castelfranco Veneto ospita i First Meeting, straordinaria formazione composta da Gonzalo Rubalcaba, Chris Potter, Larry Grenadier ed Eric Harland. Il progetto nacque nel 2022 da un’idea del promoter statunitense Jason Olaine, che riunì per la prima volta i quattro celebri jazzisti per una serie di concerti al Dizzy’s Club del Lincoln Center di New York.
L’esperienza è stata immortalata nel 2025 con l’album First Meeting: Live at Dizzy’s, pubblicato da 5Passion Records, e ha dato origine a una tournée internazionale.

On the occasion of the twelfth edition of the Castelfranco Veneto Jazz Festival, the Accademico Theater of Castelfranco Veneto hosts the First Meeting, an extraordinary band made up of Gonzalo Rubalcaba, Chris Potter, Larry Grenadier, and Eric Harland. The project was born in 2022 from an idea by the American promoter Jason Olaine, who brought together the four renowned jazz musicians for the first time for a series of concerts at Dizzy’s Club at Lincoln Center in New York.
The experience was captured in 2025 with the album First Meeting: Live at Dizzy’s, released by 5Passion Records, and led to an international tour.

Anlässlich der zwölften Ausgabe des Castelfranco Veneto Jazz Festival wird das Teatro Accademico in Castelfranco Veneto die First Meeting präsentieren, ein außergewöhnliches Ensemble bestehend aus Gonzalo Rubalcaba, Chris Potter, Larry Grenadier und Eric Harland. Das Projekt entstand im Jahr 2022 aus der Idee des US-Promoters Jason Olaine, der die vier berühmten Jazzmusiker erstmals für eine Reihe von Konzerten im Dizzy’s Club des Lincoln Centers in New York zusammenbrachte.
