Il Duomo di Caorle accoglie il Basiani Ensemble, prestigioso ensemble vocale georgiano protagonista di un appuntamento inserito nel programma di “Aspettando il Festival”, rassegna che anticipa il 44° Festival Internazionale di Musica di Portogruaro.
Fondato nel 2000 con la benedizione del Patriarca di tutta la Georgia Ilia II, il Basiani Ensemble è oggi riconosciuto come Ensemble Statale di Canto Popolare Georgiano e rappresenta una delle più autorevoli realtà musicali del proprio Paese. Il gruppo si distingue per il lavoro di recupero e valorizzazione delle antiche tradizioni polifoniche georgiane, contribuendo a far conoscere nel mondo un patrimonio musicale di straordinaria ricchezza.
Nel corso della sua attività, l’ensemble si è esibito nei più importanti festival e teatri internazionali, tra cui il Concertgebouw di Amsterdam, la Gulbenkian Great Hall di Lisbona, il Lincoln Center di New York e numerose altre prestigiose sedi in Europa e negli Stati Uniti.
La serata offrirà al pubblico l’opportunità di scoprire le suggestive sonorità della tradizione corale georgiana, in un concerto che unisce spiritualità, storia e cultura all’interno della suggestiva cornice del Duomo di Caorle.

The Caorle Cathedral hosts the Basiani Ensemble, a prestigious Georgian vocal ensemble featured in an event included in the “Waiting for the Festival” program, a review that anticipates the 44th International Music Festival of Portogruaro.
Founded in 2000 with the blessing of the Patriarch of all Georgia Ilia II, the Basiani Ensemble is now recognized as the State Ensemble of Georgian Folk Singing and represents one of the most authoritative musical realities of its country. The group stands out for its work in recovering and enhancing the ancient polyphonic traditions of Georgia, helping to promote a musical heritage of extraordinary richness worldwide.
Throughout its activity, the ensemble has performed at the most important international festivals and theaters, including the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, the Gulbenkian Great Hall in Lisbon, Lincoln Center in New York, and numerous other prestigious venues in Europe and the United States.
The evening will offer the audience the opportunity to discover the evocative sounds of the Georgian choral tradition in a concert that combines spirituality, history, and culture within the enchanting setting of the Caorle Cathedral.

Das Basiani Ensemble wurde 2000 mit dem Segen des Patriarchen von ganz Georgien, Ilia II, gegründet und wird heute als Staatliches Ensemble für Georgische Volksmusik anerkannt.
